Frequently Asked Questions

The difference is that we cover every aspect that an athlete needs to compete at high levels. Being an athlete is more than just speed in one direction. At MVP we work with everything from proper functional weight lifting to core strength to nutrition. We don't want to develop one dimensional athletes. We strive to develop the all around athlete with a lot of emphasis on sports specificity. We work to destroy bad habits and mechanics and instill proper techniques from cutting and slashing to jumping.

How is this different from every other training facility?

If we look at the big picture, the price is actually cheaper than you can find a personal trainer at any other facility. We work with the athlete 3 days a week for 2 hour sessions for 6 weeks. That is 36 hours of contact time watching every step the athlete makes from trained professionals. It works out to under $20 an hour and with what we offer to each athlete, it is a great deal.

Why does the program cost so much?

In a word, Yes. This is actually very good after an injury. We have worked with everything from knee surgeries to stress fractures at rehabbing athletes. The great thing about the Vertimax is that we can modify each workout to take the impact off of athletes while still training proper form and function. One of our main goals is to teach the importance of strongly controlled joints to improve better core balance. That includes knees, ankles, hips, and even shoulders. We work to create a more stable joint, ecspecially in an injured state, to speed healing and reduce the future risk of injury.
